Our Weatherproofing Uniqueness: We are also a General Contractor since 1980. The founder of this company developed his weatherproofing standards and techniques that far surpass today's (Long story, I won't get into it here). How that relates to painting houses is as follows: Simply put, we blend the functional aspects of our weatherproofing techniques with exterior painting. We can identify and correct problem areas that promote dry rot and termites, such as fascia board joints, exposed decorative beams, patio cover workmanship, etc...
Our Gratitude: Orange County residents, we know that you have many choices of Orange County Painters, and we appreciate your consideration. It is our privilege to be one of your preferred painters.
The Pricing: Orange County home owners deserve to have quality interior and exterior house painting at reasonable prices. Our painting prices are competitive, despite the high quality paint and techniques that we use.
The Preparation: One of the most important factors in quality house painting is the preparation. Sanding to the point of feathering is a key component in making in the weathered paint seamless. Replacing bad wood and correcting the source of the damage determines the longevity of the job.
The Materials: Dunn Edwards paint seems to be the preference of most painting contractors in Orange County because, because it’s less expensive. I find Dunn Edwards Paint to be thinner, poor in coverage and cheaper in quality. Our choice of paint is thicker and superior, to the contractor's grade that so many of our competitors use. We will disclose our brand during our estimate.
The Painters: Of course materials are always an important part of a great painting job, but the actual painters are the real difference. The one who holds the sander, brush and roller, dictates the results both functionally and aesthetically. We will meet our painters on the job for periodic supervision and instruction. We require a lot from our painters so we compensate them well which aside from that, they have great pride in their work.

THE PAINTING LICENSE NUMBER:
The California Contractors State License Law requires contractors to display their license number prominently along with all advertising. A wise consumer should make note of the painter's license number when shopping for house painting contractors and check it with the Contractors State License Board, for the following: Date issued, Insurance, employees, Disciplinary actions, etc... A very important bit of data is how long they've in business under that particular license number. No excuses should be accepted like "we were in business under another number before". The current License number is the only one relevant to you.

In California, the terms of all home improvement projects over $500 (combined material and labor costs) must be in a contract and include specific information about your consumer rights and responsibilities.
What is a painting Contract and When Do I Need One?
A painting contract is an agreement between a painting contractor and a property owner or tenant, and includes in its description all labor, services, and materials to be furnished and performed. A painting contract also can mean an agreement between a salesperson (home improvement salesperson) and property/home owner or tenant. (Business and Professions Code section 7151.2) This contract is the most important communication tool between you and your painting contractor; it should identify all project expectations to help avoid misunderstandings.
CONSUMER TIP 2
Beware of improperly licensed contractors on Yelp and AngiesList! With popularity of these forums, Contractor fraud is prevalent. By my estimation, there is 25-40% Improperly licensed contractors posing as Painting Contractors on these forums. Most are general contractors illegally providing painting services, which promotes poor workmanship and puts the customer at risk.
To summarize, Hire a licensed painting Contractor. You should always check their license either by company name or by their license number. If you have any question about a licensee or his claims, you may call me at 949---------. You can also check out the CSLB at www.cslb.ca.gov.
Contractors law provides restrictions for General Contractors as stated below: “A general building contractor shall not take a prime contract for any project involving trades other than framing or carpentry unless the prime contract requires at least two unrelated building trades or crafts other than framing or carpentry, or unless the general building contractor holds the appropriate license classification or subcontracts with an appropriately licensed specialty contractor to perform the work.” For More Information about license classes, check out the link above to the CSLB.
